Blue Rocks vs Nationals David Carpenter (video)

The Wilmington Blue Rocks had to face a big league rehabber in their game against the Potomac Nationals on Wednesday night. However, it was only for one inning.

Washington Nationals reliever David Carpenter made his first rehab start and allowed a run on one hit and a walk. Below is video of the five Blue Rocks batters he faced.

It started with leadoff hitter Carlos Garcia, who tripled down the right field line:

Next up was Jack Lopez, who drove in Garcia with a sac fly:

Robert Pehl was next:

Carpenter then walked Ryan O’Hearn (I apologize for the expletive from Carpenter after the walk if the video picked it up):

Elier Hernandez was the final batter (and the final out) Carpenter faced:

About Jen Nevius

I first became a KC Royals fan way back in 1995 when I attended my first Wilmington Blue Rocks game. I fell in love with minor league baseball then and began following the Royals as former Blue Rocks clawed their way to the big leagues. 3+ years ago I started covering the Royals for Aerys Sports, but since the site has been shut down, I am going out on my own.
