Videos from Blue Rocks vs Lynchburg

Last night, the Wilmington Blue Rocks lost to visiting Lynchburg, 2-0. It was a fairly well played and quick game, with good pitching. The following is some of the video I took from the game.

Right-hander Brooks Pounders made just his second start this season for Wilmington and started the game like this against Hillcats right fielder Luigi Rodriguez:

Two batters later, Pounders got a line drive double play from Cleveland prospect Clint Frazier:

Lynchburg slugger Nellie Rodriguez flied out to start the 2nd inning:

Frazier hit into another double play, this time to end the 4th inning:

Blue Rocks reliever Kevin McCarthy entered in the 7th inning with runners on the corners and one out:

Claudio Bautista followed against McCarthy:

McCarthy began the 8th inning against Luigi Rodriguez:

McCarthy then ended the 8th inning against Frazier:

The Blue Rocks had chances and had the bases loaded in the first. Unfortunately, Cam Gallagher hit into an inning ending double play (one of four):

About Jen Nevius

I first became a KC Royals fan way back in 1995 when I attended my first Wilmington Blue Rocks game. I fell in love with minor league baseball then and began following the Royals as former Blue Rocks clawed their way to the big leagues. 3+ years ago I started covering the Royals for Aerys Sports, but since the site has been shut down, I am going out on my own.
