Royals rained out in St. Louis

The finale between the KC Royals in St. Louis was rained out on Sunday afternoon. They sat around to make that decision for almost three hours. No makeup date has been announced.

-rain-clipart-7With the rain out, Edinson Volquez will continue to make his scheduled start on Monday in Milwaukee. Sunday’s starter, Chris Young, will now start on Tuesday in Milwaukee.

Joe Blanton, who was scheduled to take Jason Vargas‘ start on Tuesday, will be skipped this time around. Blanton could start on Friday night against Boston in Kansas City if Yordano Ventura is unable to pitch on Wednesday at the K against the Brewers.

About Jen Nevius

I first became a KC Royals fan way back in 1995 when I attended my first Wilmington Blue Rocks game. I fell in love with minor league baseball then and began following the Royals as former Blue Rocks clawed their way to the big leagues. 3+ years ago I started covering the Royals for Aerys Sports, but since the site has been shut down, I am going out on my own.
