Hosmer snubbed by MLB Network’s top 10 first baseman

Despite winning back-to-back Gold Gloves in the American League, KC Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer was not included in MLB Network’s Thursday night edition of “Top Ten Right Now”.

top-10-right-nowThree of the five AL Central first baseman were included on the list: Carlos Santana (Cleveland) came in at number ten, Jose Abreu (Chicago White Sox) came in at number three, and Miguel Cabrera (Detroit) took the top spot.

But no Hosmer.

Maybe this will give him extra motivation going into the 2015 season to perform up to his capabilities at the plate.

About Jen Nevius

I first became a KC Royals fan way back in 1995 when I attended my first Wilmington Blue Rocks game. I fell in love with minor league baseball then and began following the Royals as former Blue Rocks clawed their way to the big leagues. 3+ years ago I started covering the Royals for Aerys Sports, but since the site has been shut down, I am going out on my own.
