Breaking down the Royals 2015 schedule: August

The KC Royals start out the month of August the way they ended July: on the road.

The Royals continue their July road trip into August, finishing up their four-game series with Toronto (August 1-2). After an off day, they travel to Detroit to face the Tigers (August 4-6).

royalsThen it is a return to Kauffman Stadium for the boys in blue, when they begin a ten-game homestand. It starts with the Chicago White Sox (August 7-9), before the Royals welcome the Tigers to town for three more games (August 10-12). The homestand finishes with the LA Angels in town for a four-game weekend series (August 13-16).

The Royals have their final day off of the month on Monday before beginning a six-game road trip. This trip takes them to Cincinnati for two games (August 18-19) and Boston (August 20-23) for four games.

Back home the Royals come for four games against another team they swept out of the 2014 postseason: the Baltimore Orioles. That series runs from August 24-27.

The Royals once again finish out a month on the road, this time traveling to Tampa to play the Rays (August 28-30). They finish out every month on the road (except April).

The Royals play 14 games at home in August. They play nine games against their division foes (the Tigers and White Sox) and 13 games against the American League East. They play just one Interleague Series (the Reds).

About Jen Nevius

I first became a KC Royals fan way back in 1995 when I attended my first Wilmington Blue Rocks game. I fell in love with minor league baseball then and began following the Royals as former Blue Rocks clawed their way to the big leagues. 3+ years ago I started covering the Royals for Aerys Sports, but since the site has been shut down, I am going out on my own.
