The month starts with a six-game homestand, as the Royals welcome both Cleveland and Texas to Kauffman Stadium. After that, the Royals head to Minnesota for three games (June 8-10).

interleague-playAfter an off day, the Royals begin a stretch of 13 straight games (June 12-24). It starts with a seven-game Interleague Play stretch: three games in St. Louis, two games in Milwaukee (June 15-16), and then two more against the Brewers, but this time at the K (June 17-18).

The Royals will play the new look Boston Red Sox Father’s Day weekend at Kauffman Stadium (June 19-21).

The Royals end the month of June on a West Coast swing that takes them into July. It starts with three night games in Seattle (June 22-24) before an off day. The Royals then head to Oakland for the weekend to see former Royal Billy Butler in his new home ballpark for the first time, before heading to Houston for three games (June 29-July 1).

The Royals play the American League Central just six times in the month of June (the Indians and the Twins, both series coming early in the month).

About Jen Nevius

I first became a KC Royals fan way back in 1995 when I attended my first Wilmington Blue Rocks game. I fell in love with minor league baseball then and began following the Royals as former Blue Rocks clawed their way to the big leagues. 3+ years ago I started covering the Royals for Aerys Sports, but since the site has been shut down, I am going out on my own.
